Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home

Following recent changes to The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (Amendment) Regulations 2022 One Vision Housing are installing carbon monoxide detectors in your home. If you haven’t already, you will be contacted by letter to confirm your appointment.

Please note this excludes properties that are electric only, or where records show that these detectors are already present.

One Vision Housing are committed to ensuring:

  • at least one smoke alarm is fitted on each floor of your home, where there is a room used as living accommodation (such as lounges, bedrooms, dining rooms, etc)
  • a carbon monoxide alarm is provided in any room used as living accommodation which contains a fix combustion appliance (excluding gas cookers)
  • smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are repaired or replaced once we are informed and find they are faulty

Smoke detectors are installed at all of One Vision Housing’s properties. However if you believe one is missing from your home, that they are faulty or broken, please contact us as soon as possible.

It is important to test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors regularly to keep you and your family safe.
