Independent Living
Our Independent Living Service provides support to help customers maintain their tenancies in over 1000 homes throughout Sefton, Wirral and Liverpool.
The service is for anyone over the age of 18 who requires assistance to live independently in their own home and maintain their tenancy.
As part of our Independent Living Service, we understand the needs of our customers can vary. That’s why we have designed our Independent Living Service to give you the level of support you require to maintain and sustain your tenancy, with a focus on five keys areas:
- Housing Related Support and Advice
- Being Safe and Secure
- Budgeting and Benefits
- Health and Wellbeing
- Repairs and Adaptations
Our trained and experienced staff visit customers once every two weeks in their homes, offering tailored housing support, we will work with you to overcome obstacles, support with referrals to other agencies and find out what’s important to you.
The service will help you to:
- Access other agencies, such as services that will support your health and well-being.
- Access volunteering, learning or social activities.
- Understand your tenancy, both in terms of your rights and responsibilities.
- Claim, and maximise, your benefits and other income.
- Manage your money (if you find this difficult).
