Last month, our Neighbourhood Services Team joined Councillor Moncur and Gary McCartney from Sefton Council for a neighbourhood walkabout in Ford Lane, Litherland.

The visit provided an opportunity to take a closer look at the area, celebrate the positive work already taking place within the community and identify any improvements that could help make the neighbourhood an even better place to live.

We were pleased to find Ford Lane looking clean, tidy and well maintained, reflecting the hard work of our Grounds Maintenance Team and the pride many residents take in their local area. The walkabout also gave us the chance to discuss any issues affecting the neighbourhood and how we can work together to address them.

During the visit, a small number of concerns were identified, including some overgrown gardens. Our Neighbourhood Services Team and Sefton Council have agreed a number of actions to help tackle these issues and support further improvements across the community.

Working together for stronger communities

Neighbourhood walkabouts are an important way for us to work closely with Sefton Council and other local partners. By spending time in our communities and seeing issues first-hand, we can identify concerns early and take action where it’s needed most.

Partnership working plays a key role in creating places where people feel safe, connected and proud to live. By sharing knowledge, resources and expertise, we can respond more effectively to local issues and continue making positive improvements for residents.

Together, we’re helping to ensure Ford Lane remains a clean, welcoming and vibrant neighbourhood for everyone.
