Earlier this month, our Customer Voice team headed over to the Brunswick Youth and Community Centre to join Veterans in Sefton (ViS) for their Armed Forces Day NAAFI break and BBQ.

We were proud to contribute £500 towards the event, bringing veterans, families, volunteers, and supporters together in true ViS style. 

Why these events matter

Although there was a delicious spread of BBQ and refreshments, NAAFI breaks are always about far more than just a quick bite to eat. They serve as an excellent opportunity for building stronger communities while focusing on: 

• Bringing people together to share experiences in a welcoming environment.
• Strengthening the incredible support network around our local veterans and their families.
• Creating meaningful conversations and opening up new, positive opportunities for the future.

A brilliant day of community connection 

From excellent veteran community engagement to fantastic networking opportunities, the day was filled with a great sense of camaraderie, positive support and good company. It was a brilliant opportunity for our team to connect with valued partners and see the incredible impact of the Armed Forces community.
