The success of Low Cost Home Ownership forums
Published: 5/5/2026
To help leasehold customers stay informed and in control of managing their homes, we’re improving the way we share information about everything from service charges to building works.
Our newly launched “Low Cost Home Ownership Forums” are designed to support our leaseholders through open communication and partnership working.
We want customers to feel confident and informed about every aspect of their lease. We have successfully hosted our first two forums, inviting customers to engage directly with experts from our Finance and Assets teams. These sessions are designed to give customers a better understanding of how our Major Works Programmes operate and how service charges are calculated, ensuring transparency on low cost home ownership.
We are also inviting leaseholders to share their feedback and suggestions for future improvements via a monthly survey.
Ian King, Leasehold & Commercial Property Officer shared his thoughts on our most recent forum:
“I thoroughly enjoyed the forum. It was incredibly positive meeting our Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy leaseholders and giving them the chance to speak openly and to raise any concerns.
“This was a fantastic opportunity to build confidence and by prioritising regular updates and partnership working, we’re creating a more positive experience.
“These forums provide an excellent platform for leaseholders to navigate changing legislation with ease. We are fully committed to this partnership and working together toward our shared goals.”
