One Vision Housing (OVH), have provided support to a Bootle based bowling club to help reduce social isolation and promote healthy lifestyles amongst older residents.

Located on Moss Lane in Bootle, Crescent Bowls Club encourages older residents within the community to engage in an active lifestyle by partaking in a game of bowls.

Donations received as part of OVH’s Community Development Fund have gone to create a covered shelter to allow spectators and players to enjoy in the sport during inclement weather.

Maurice Sweetman, Secretary of the Crescent Bowls Club, said:

“I would like to give a big thank you to One Vision Housing for generously providing support to our club. Their donation will help us continue our activities which have proven to be beneficial to older people both from a physical fitness and mental health prospective.”
