One Vision Housing partner with local agencies to improve Netherton community
Published: 5/4/2021
Recently our Neighbourhood Services and Community Safety teams partnered with local organisations to carry out a day of action at Coventry Ave in Netherton to help improve the safety and security of residents and the neighbourhood in which they live.
As part of our day of action, doorstep visits were carried out, in line with Government guidance, to offer residents support with ASB, benefits advice and more.
Merseyside Police were on hand to help OVH’s Community Safety Team provide advice on anti-social behaviour, bike marking and target hardening to strengthen home security (i.e. window alarms).
Other partner agencies including Sovini Property Services and Plus Dane Housing also supported the day of action by helping with home visits and a neighbourhood clean-up.
In an effort to make the community cleaner and help curb fly-tipping, skips were hired for the disposal of large items and litter picking was completed by all in attendance.
Neighbourhood Services Team Leader, Kyle Lane, had this to say about the day:
“This is a great example of what can be achieved through partnership working and will go a long way in helping OVH create thriving, inclusive communities. I would like to thank everyone who helped to make our day of action a success, especially OVH Neighbourhood Services Officer Christine Holloway who organised this day of action and worked closely with all partner agencies within the community to swiftly address any concerns or issues. Together, we not only helped improve the lives of our residents, but worked hard to help make the area in which they live better, too.”
