What does a career in housing actually look like? Our Head of Housing, Neil Kenwright, attended Everton Free School recently to answer that question for the next generation of talent.

Taking part in Elevate EBP’s ‘Meet the Professionals’ event, Neil spent the day connecting with students to share industry insights and discuss the wide variety of career paths available within the housing sector.

Reflecting on the importance of the event, Neil shared:

“Getting involved in events like ‘Meet the Professionals’ is key to fulfilling our mission of creating opportunities and changing lives. It gives us a unique chance to open doors for young people and show them their goals are within reach. Taking the time to answer their questions and share my own career journey is incredibly rewarding.

“Investing in young people means investing in the future of our workforce and the next generation of customers. It’s key to creating a positive, lasting impact within the communities we serve.”

Our partnerships

This event is the latest in our long-standing partnership with Elevate EBP. Last year alone, we collaborated on careers fairs, carousels, and mock interviews. For us, these partnerships are all about impact, helping students gain valuable real-life insight into the housing sector to equip them with the knowledge, confidence and experience they need to thrive.

Partnerships such as this allow us to invest back into local people and create lasting opportunities. We’re incredibly proud of what we’re achieving with Elevate EBP, and we look forward to continuing this work  to inspire and guide the next generation of working professionals across the North West.
