Terry, one of our dedicated residents, is a shining example of how small steps can lead to big changes. Starting with simple actions like recycling plant pots, bird feeders, and solar lights, Terry has transformed his garden into a thriving oasis. With the support of his Neighborhood Officer, Ian Keys, and The Sovini Group‘s Stakeholder Engagement Team, Terry partnered with local community growers, The Gateway Collective CIC, to secure a grant through One Vision Housing’s Community Development Fund.

Thanks to the grant, Terry has been able to purchase compost, wood, flower bulbs, and other essentials to nurture the community garden. This hidden haven has become a magnet for wildlife, including bees, squirrels, and birds, providing a much-needed sanctuary for the community.

Beyond its ecological benefits, the garden has also played a vital role in addressing local issues. By transforming a previously neglected space into a vibrant community hub, Terry has helped to reduce fly-tipping and improve the overall well-being of residents.
