Poets Park was full of energy earlier this week as hundreds of local residents came together for another successful Poets Engagement Fun Day.

Organised through the Poet Streets Partnership, the free event welcomed families from across the local area for an afternoon of activities, support and community connection ahead of the new school term.

Children enjoyed a range of fun activities throughout the day, including inflatable attractions, games, free pizza and ice cream. Families were also able to pick up free pre-loved school uniform bundles, helping to ease the cost of getting ready for the new school year.

A special thank you goes to Sovini Trade Supplies whose generous sponsorship funded 200 free ice creams for families attending the event, adding an extra treat for those who came along on the day.

Alongside the family activities, attendees had the opportunity to speak with local organisations and support services, learn more about what’s available in the area and connect with teams working within the community.

The event was made possible through the Poet Streets Partnership, which brings together One Vision Housing, Riverside, Prima Housing Group, Plus Dane Housing, Crosby Housing Association, Sefton Council and Capacity to support local people and improve neighbourhoods across the area.

The fantastic turnout reflected the strong community spirit within the Poet Streets area, with people of all ages enjoying the activities and taking the opportunity to spend time with neighbours and friends.
