We are HouseProud Pledge Pioneers!

As part of The Sovini Group, we are thrilled to have been awarded Pioneer Status by the LGBTQ+ HouseProud Pledge, demonstrating our commitment to creating inclusive communities.

What is HouseProud?

The LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge was developed by HouseProud and the University of Surrey, in collaboration with customers, staff members and sector leaders. This pledge aims to address the issues raised by the findings of ‘No Place Like Home?’, the largest study to understand the LGBTQ+ experiences of social housing.

Pioneer Status means we:

• Create a framework for LGBTQ+ customers to have a voice, and be heard
• We build relationships with customers and proactively increase LGBTQ+ visibility
• Invest in colleague education and awareness, through workshops and training

The LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge assessors shared their praises of our efforts, noting:

“The EDI Forum is clearly playing an active role in shaping services, and it’s clear there are structures in place for LGBTQ+ voices to feed into strategic decision-making. The Group supports LGBTQ+ charities, attends/hosts events like Pride and partners with organisations like Sahir House, demonstrating genuine commitment and strong organisational buy-in.”
