Park Street shines during our neighbourhood Day of Action
Published: 4/5/2025
The sun was out in Park Street recently for a fantastic day of action, all part of our ongoing Alleyway Strategic Action Plan to improve alleyways and neighbourhoods across our communities.
We were delighted to welcome a range of partners to work alongside our customers, including the Sefton Council Environmental & Enforcement team, Merseyside Police, Sovini Waste Solutions, and local councillors. Additionally, neighbours who aren’t One Vision Housing customers also joined in, highlighting the community spirit in the area.
A key focus of the day was addressing the issue of fly-tipping that has unfortunately affected Park Street. To help our customers dispose of unwanted household items responsibly, Sovini Waste Solutions generously provided three skips. This initiative aims to minimise future fly-tipping and keep our neighbourhood looking its best.
The teams had valuable conversations with customers about the importance of proper waste disposal, while we also gathered feedback through surveys to identify areas for improvement and boost customer involvement.
Andy Jones from our Community Safety team addressed low-level ASB concerns, offering OVH support and signposting to other services for both our customers and non-residents.
It was a positive day of collaboration, all focused on creating a better future for our communities. We are committed to improving our neighbourhoods, and working alongside our residents and partner agencies is vital to achieving this common goal. We look forward to building on this success in future neighbourhood action days.
