Our commitment to cleaner communities continues into 2026!

Published: 4/1/2026

We’re building on the momentum of our recent clean-up initiatives to ensure our communities remain tidy and safe all year round.

We recently completed an intensive three-week operation to clear the gated alleyways serving Hinton Street, Lawler Street, and Webster Street in Litherland. Working alongside Sovini Waste Solutions, we removed significant amounts of illegally dumped waste to give these streets the fresh start they deserve.

How you can help

Our teams are working hard to clear fly-tipping hotspots across Sefton, but we need your help to keep them clean. Fly-tipping isn’t just an eyesore, it attracts vermin and can make communities feel unsafe. Here’s how you can help:

  • Dispose correctly – Ensure all household waste is placed inside your designated bins. Please do not leave bags or loose items in the alleyways.
  • Book a collection – If you have large items like mattresses or furniture, please arrange a bulky waste collection through Sefton Council or visit your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
  • Donate – If your items are in good, reusable condition, consider giving them a second life by donating to a local charity.
  • Report it – We are increasing our vigilance in the area. If you witness fly-tipping, please report it to us immediately and confidentially.

Pride in communities

This latest clean-up is a key part of our ongoing commitment to improving Sefton’s streets. It is fantastic to see residents taking such pride in their neighbourhoods, making use of the skips provided by Sovini Waste Solutions to transform their local areas.

We are also proud to showcase anti-fly-tipping posters designed by the talented students at English Martyrs Primary School. Their creativity serves as a powerful reminder of why protecting our environment is so vital for the generations to come.

See it, Say it!

Let’s work together to protect our communities. By reporting fly-tipping confidentially, you help us keep Sefton safe for everyone.
