The recent neighbourhood walkabout at Hankey Drive showcased a fantastic team effort to keep our communities thriving. Representatives from One Vision Housing, Sefton Council, and our Customer Voice Team were joined by Councillor Spring to meet with residents and review the local environment. The atmosphere was incredibly positive, with residents sharing encouraging feedback and of our customers stepping forward to join our customer involvement groups, a great example of how you shape our services.

The transformation of the local alleyways has been fantastic, compared to the heavy fly-tipping seen this time last year, the area has been truly transformed. To keep up this momentum, our teams have already raised orders to clear minor rubbish and repair two faulty gates identified during the visit. While the area has much improved, it remains a work in progress, and the focus is now shifting toward a greener summer.

Plans are already in motion to launch resident-led gardening schemes for the alleyways this summer. By working together, these spaces can be transformed into vibrant community spots that everyone can take pride in.
