Like all responsible businesses, The Sovini Group has developed a Strategy and action plan to reduce the negative impact its business activities have on the natural environment.

The highest priority within this Strategy is to ensure that the homes of our providers, One Vision Housing (OVH) and Pine Court Housing Association (PCHA), are energy efficient, affordable to run for customers, and help reduce carbon emissions.

A fabric first approach

The approach we’ve adopted is known as “fabric first.” This involves maximising the performance of the components and materials that make up the building fabric itself, before considering the use of renewable energy technologies such as solar power or air source heat pumps.   

While the majority of measures we will introduce over the period of 2024-2029 will focus on this “fabric-first” approach, we have already started to prepare for the next phase and will look to implement new technologies where feasible.
