Gas Safety Week 2025: Working together for a safer community
Published: 1/9/2025
Gas Safety Week 2025 is here, and we want to remind all our customers about the importance of gas safety. This year is all about looking out for our families and neighbours, because we all have a part to play in making sure our homes and communities are safe.
Your safety is our top priority. We have a legal duty to ensure all gas appliances, pipework, and flues are in safe working order. Our Gas Safe registered engineers carry out a free annual gas safety check in every home. This check also includes testing any carbon monoxide and heat/smoke detectors we have installed.
This Gas Safety Week, we’re asking all our customers to:
- Allow access for your annual gas safety check – We’ll send you a letter with the date, so please let us know if it’s not convenient. Not allowing us access is a breach of your Tenancy Agreement and could result in you losing your home.
- Test your carbon monoxide alarm weekly – If it’s faulty, please contact us so we can repair or replace it.
- Never attempt gas work yourself – You must always use a Gas Safe registered engineer for any gas-related work.
- Contact us immediately if you suspect a gas leak.
Remember, your role can make all the difference in keeping everyone gas safe. For more details on our and your responsibilities please visit HERE for more information.
If you have any questions or need to report a problem, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team.
