Celebrating International Woman’s Day – An inspiring message from our customer Pam

This year, we are excited to honour Pam Holliday, our Chair of Scrutiny, as she celebrates her 15th year as an involved customer! Pam’s hard work and dedication have played a significant role in driving positive changes in our services. We are truly inspired by her journey, from starting as an involved customer to becoming a key member of the Scrutiny team, and now serving on One Vision Housing’s board as a Co-Optee.

Pam shared her thoughts with us:

“I have had an eventful life, full of adventure, and I will always be an advocate for women’s rights. I spent a large part of my life living in Africa, where I wanted to help out. What started as learning how to brick lay soon enough led to building my own houses! Women are strong, and I am proud to be a woman. My role on Scrutiny and the Board makes me feel incredibly proud.”

Thank you, Pam, for being a beacon of strength and inspiration. Here’s to celebrating remarkable women everywhere!

March is Fire Prevention Month, and we’re dedicated to promoting fire safety awareness. On 12th March, we hosted a High-Rise and Building Safety meeting at The Brunswick Youth and Community Centre. This event provided our High-Rise Customers with valuable information on recent Fire Incidents, False Fire Alarm Activations, and Fire Risk Assessments.

We remain committed to ensuring our community stays safe and informed. Thank you to everyone who attended! Stay vigilant and prioritise fire safety. Following this meeting, a customer contacted us to compliment how informative the meeting was and how much safer she feels now knowing the steps we take to ensure customers safety.

We had a fantastic afternoon on 10th March training seven new Tenant Inspectors who will

work with us on a voluntary basis to help improve our services by inspecting homes, communal areas, and neighbourhoods, assess safety and security, ensure customers have the information they need, and perform mystery shopping of our front-line services.

Spotlight on James Constable – Sales and Home Ownership Manager

For me EDI means inclusivity and treating everyone with the same mutual respect, as an openly gay man I am happy to say that The Sovini Group is the most inclusive and open work place I have experienced, I can 100% be myself.
