COVID-19 update: Fire safety

Merseyside Fire and Rescue have put together some useful information to help you stay fire safe while staying at home. View their official guidance below.
Fly-tipping
With spending more time at home you might find yourself doing some additional cleaning which may result in clearing out unwanted items. However, please make sure you are disposing of your rubbish correctly.
Fly-tipping is illegal and can cause an increased risk of fire. Below you can find information regarding bulky item collections in your area and what services are available during this time.
Sefton – Sefton Council are still operating a bulky item collection service. For more information and to book a collection please visit their website here.
Liverpool – Liverpool’s free bulky item removal service, Bulky Bob’s, has been temporarily suspended. Liverpool residents are advised to store their unwanted items until service has resumed. Find out more here.
Wirral – Bookings to the ERIC (large item) collection service have been suspended. Wirral residents are advised to store their unwanted items until service has resumed. Find out more here.
West Lancashire – The West Lancashire Council’s Street Scene Service has reopened their bulky item collection service. If you would like to book a collection please visit their website here.
Knowsley – Knowsley’s bulky item removal service has been temporarily suspended. Knowsley residents are advised to store their unwanted items until service has resumed. Find out more here.
Cheshire West and Chester – Some Household Waste Recycling Centres will reopen on Tuesday 12 May 2020 for strictly essential use only. Find out more here.
