Continuing Neighbourhood Improvements with Neighbourhood Walks

Published: 3/7/2025

At One Vision Housing, we’re dedicated to creating better neighbourhoods and communities. To make sure our hard work is truly making a visible difference, we’ve introduced Neighbourhood Walks. These regular walks help us uphold our commitment to improving your local areas.

Our latest Neighbourhood Walk took us to Kirkstone Road, where we installed a new bin solution last year, as well as Bark and Daley Road. We were joined by Councillor Monocur and Lappin, who reviewed the areas. Both councillors were delighted with improved appearance of these previously challenging spots and complimented our recent neighbourhood efforts.

What are neighbourhood walks?

Neighbourhood Walks are designed to ensure we maintain a consistent presence in our communities and regularly monitor the areas. We’re aiming to complete 56 Neighbourhood Walks this year, with 44 of them in Sefton, targeting the more challenging areas. We invite various councillors to join us on our Neighbourhood Walks, as their fresh eyes and perspective helps us identify new ways to improve these areas.

During our walks, we assess:

  • Overgrown gardens
  • Fly-tipping
  • Grounds Maintenance
  • Communal areas

After our assessment, we implement a tailored solution to address any concerns and ensure these challenging areas continue to improve.

Help us tackle fly-tipping

As we continue to clear our neighbourhoods, we urge you to help us tackle fly-tipping and dispose of your waste responsibly.

If you witness illegal fly-tipping incidents, please report it confidentially to our team at 0300 365 1111 or submit a report HERE!

Together we can keep our neighbourhoods clean and safe!
