Celebrating those who make a difference with our Community Hero Award

Published: 4/11/2024

As part of Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, One Vision Housing is proud to introduce the Community Hero Award. This award recognises individuals who embody our values and make a significant positive impact on their community.

We were overwhelmed by the number of inspiring nominations received from our neighbourhoods team, highlighting the many individuals who go above and beyond to support their neighbours.

Pat Cooper, nominated by Neighbourhood Services Officer James Bilby, is a shining example of a true community hero and worthy winner of the award. The award was presented today by the Director of Housing and Customer Services at One Vision Housing, Paula Robinson.

As a dedicated volunteer, Pat spends countless hours cleaning up the local area, picking up litter along Liverpool Road, Meadow Lane, and Sandbrook. Her selfless efforts contribute to a cleaner, more pleasant environment for everyone.

In addition to her litter-picking commitments, Pat volunteers at the local food bank, providing essential support to those in need. Her commitment to helping others is truly admirable and has a profound impact on the lives of many.

Paula Robinson, Director of Housing and Customer Services at One Vision Housing, said:

“Pat truly embodies our values here at One Vision Housing, as demonstrated through her passion and enterprise. Her dedication to her community is inspiring, and we are honored to recognise her as our Community Hero.”

Community heroes like Pat play a vital role in keeping our communities safe, creating opportunities, and building a better future.

One Vision Housing is committed to recognising and celebrating the contributions of our community heroes. By working together, we can create stronger and thriving communities for everyone.
