Governance

One Vision Housing is governed by a Board consisting of nine members.

Members are recruited and appointed on the basis of their skills, knowledge and experience, in line with a board-defined skills matrix. The skills matrix covers the key areas of the organisation’s operation and ensures the appropriate skills and expertise are in place.

Currently, the Board includes six non-executive directors, one tenant non-executive director and two executive directors.

In addition to the Board, there is a Risk and Audit Committee which has representation from One Vision Housing. The Group Risk and Audit Committee is responsible for assisting the board in matters relating to risk and audit.

The Sovini Group Structure

As part of The Sovini Group, One Vision Housing works alongside housing, commercial and charitable organisations to deliver services and create positive outcomes for customers and communities.

Through a shared services model, commercial profits help support community investment, while customer feedback and engagement help shape the services we provide.

The diagram below shows how the organisations within The Sovini Group work together.

ESG

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting refers to the disclosure of data and activity covering an organisation’s operations in three areas: environmental, social and corporate governance. It provides a snapshot of the organisation’s impact in these three areas for reporting to stakeholders, and is used to demonstrate compliance with ESG reporting requirements.

More information can be found here.

Code of Governance

One Vision Housing has adopted the National Housing Federation’s 2020 Code of Governance. Compliance with this ensures the organisation’s activities are transparent and promote confidence in the communities we serve. We continually assess compliance with this code and with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Regulatory Framework.

As a member of The Sovini Group, One Vision Housing operates within a Group Corporate Governance Framework that details the governance structures, policies and processes, based on the National Housing Federation and Regulator of Social Housing’s standards.

The Framework sets out policies and procedures to ensure that Board members and officers operate in a transparent and accountable manner.

Our Involved Customers

We are committed to ensuring our customers have opportunities to influence and shape the services we provide. Customer feedback plays an important role in helping us review performance, identify areas for improvement and make decisions that matter to our communities.

Customers can get involved through a range of consultation and engagement opportunities, including customer panels, surveys and service reviews. Our Scrutiny Panel works with colleagues to independently assess services and make recommendations to help improve customer experience.
