Day of Action: Tackling Fly-tipping and Anti-Social Behaviour on the Wirral

One Vision Housing joined forces with Sovini Property Services and Merseyside Police for a successful Day of Action to tackle fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour in the Wirral.

Our dedicated Neighbourhood Services Team, armed with litter pickers, transformed Thorburn Lodge and Maude Royden estates by clearing fly-tipping and waste. Sovini Property Services furthered the clean-up by cleaning customers’ windows, enhancing the overall appearance of the area.

To prevent future fly-tipping offences, Sovini Waste Solutions provided skips for all customers to dispose of unwanted items from their homes responsibly.

In collaboration with Merseyside Police, we conducted crucial anti-social behaviour surveys with customers in the area. These surveys provided valuable insights and feedback into potential root causes. This partnership has strengthened our ability to address these issues effectively together in the future.

One Vision Housing’s essential partnership with Sovini Property Services and Merseyside Police improved the condition of the neighbourhood whilst also providing an opportunity to understand and address the concerns of our customers.

Sefton Council offers a bulky waste collection service. You can book a collection for three large items at £14 with an average wait time of around 10 days. Call 0345 140 0845 or visit Bulky item collections for more information and a full list of acceptable items.

Get Involved

We have a series of community action days planned throughout the winter months. Our team will be on hand picking litter from streets and alleyways, conducting actions around anti-social behaviour, and providing skips courtesy of Sovini Waste Solutions for customers to dispose of their unwanted household goods free of charge.
