17th Day of Action completed!

Published: 1/2/2025

Dedicated to our commitment to create safer and cleaner neighbourhoods for our customers, we have completed our 17th Day of Action to tackle the litter and fly-tipping issues.

Last week Bootle Captains Lane estates received a visit from our Neighbourhood Services Officers, alongside Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Team. This collaboration participated to the success of this Day of Action.

We partnered up to engage with customers, discover and address any concerns customers in the area had. Alongside this the Fire and Rescue Team offered fire safety checks on their properties.

Following this collaboration all 10 blocks were left immaculate. Our team litter picked and removed all fly tipping in the communal areas and gardens of the blocks. Thanks to the donation of two Sovini Waste Solution skips, the litter collected was effectively removed and recycled.

Days of Action will be continued again in March as we continue our commitment for cleaner neighbourhood to change the lives of our customers.

Sefton Council offers a bulky waste collection service. You can book a collection for three large items at £14 with an average wait time of around 10 days. Call 0345 140 0845 or visit Bulky item collections for more information and a full list of acceptable items.

Get Involved

We have a series of community action days planned throughout the winter months. Our team will be on hand picking litter from streets and alleyways, conducting actions around anti-social behaviour, and providing skips courtesy of Sovini Waste Solutions for customers to dispose of their unwanted household goods free of charge.

If you’re interested in participating, please see HERE for details of our upcoming events.
