We’ve recently won two national awards, for our work in the community and our complaints handling process.
At the Tpas (Tenant Participation Advisory Service) awards in Manchester, we received the Richard Crossley Excellence in Community Action Award for our ‘Celebrate the Good Times’ series of community events which helped to tackle loneliness and social isolation.
These free entry events included: a summer Great Get Together (a More In Common project in partnership with the Jo Cox Foundation), a Suffragette-themed Older Person’s Day celebration, a WWI centenary event and a Christmas Day Lunch for those who would have otherwise spent the holidays alone. The events were supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
Judges call the events “a fantastic achievement” and commended their “clear impact in improving the mental and emotional wellbeing of residents.”
The Tpas award comes shortly after we won the Gold Award for Best Use of Customer Insight and Feedback at the UK Complaint Handling Awards, beating well known giants such as HSBC and lastminute.com.
The judges praised our Customer Complaint Auditors initiative, where tenants are trained and empowered to improve the complaint handing process. Awarding judge Lee Mostari said he “was blown away by One Vision Housing’s unique and innovative use of customer feedback.”
