Staff from One Vision Housing (OVH) were spreading some Christmas cheer this week, as they travelled around Merseyside delivering Christmas hampers to over 73 households affected by Universal Credit, as well as delivering gifts to a number of community centres and food banks.
Sefton Children’s Trust, Sefton Children’s Centre, Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre, Sefton and Litherland Children’s Centre, Sefton Food Bank and One Vision Housing customers were amongst those that received gifts.
Gifts were tailored to each recipient providing everything needed for the festive season. Including food, brand new toys, clothes for babies and children and essential items.
Staff from One Vision Housing worked closely with His Church charity to aid local residents during this time of year with additional pressures of Christmas.
Netherton Community Centre received gifts for more than 20 families that receive their support. Cllr Susan Bradshaw is part of the Family Support Team at the community centre and said:
“A big thank you to One Vision Housing for helping the families in need in the local area, we really appreciate all the support for the people and families in our community.”
In addition to providing hampers, One Vision Housing has also held a Christmas party for their customers with Christmas dinner, drink and live entertainment as well as helping to organise a Carroll Concert at Brunswick Community Centre.
Jed Pearson, Director of One Vision Housing said:
“We recognise that this time of year is challenging for people, particularly for those migrating to Universal Credit as they wait for their first payment. We feel it is very important to support our customers as much as possible which is why we deliver the hampers every year.”
